Lia Popescu was Born in Cosava-Timis, Romania. She is a graduate of the Polytechnic Institute and the Fine Art Institute of the University of Timisoara. She is currently a member of the Fine Arts Union of Romanian and exhibits her art periodically in personal and official, collective exhibitions from. In 2001, her work was selected, to the 10th International Contemporary Art Competition “Osaka Triennale 2001”, Japan. Besides her art work, Ms. Popescu carried out an applied arts experiment “The Fine Arts-a method for diagnosis and psychic retrieval” in Carecenter Holstenhof, Hamburg, Germany. Lia Popescu is an art contributor to several newspapers and magazines and in 2003 she wrote and illustrated the book “Landmark. Timisoara”. Ms. Popescu is a winner of numerous Romanian art competitions. Among her last achievements, we can mention the July and August 2009 personal exhibitions in Klagenfurt, Austria, and monumental woodwork, “Airport for Angels,” in Caransebes-Romania.
