Ştefana-Gratiela Negrutiu is a native of Bucharest Romania. She graduated the Music School in Bucharest and the Conservatory of Bucharest at the class of renowned teacher and violin pedagogue Ionel Genta. Starting in 1974 she became violin and chamber music professor at the George Enescu Music School in Bucharest and also at the Ion Vidu Music School in Timisoara Romania. In 1991 Ms. Negrutiu joined the faculty of the School of Music of the West Universtiy Timisoara. In 2004 she received the title of Doctor of Music. Ms. Negrutiu is currently the Head of the Strings Department. Her students are among the most successful Romanian musicians, with numerous national and international prizes as well as solo and chamber music careers throughout Europe. Stefana-Gratiela Negrutiu published scientific works about music and the violin, as well as several books:
