MARIA HUNCIAG





Maria Hunciag received her Doctor in Art History degree from The Institute of Fine Arts Nicolae Grigorescu in Bucharest, Romania. She later earned a D.E.A in Byzantine Art and Archeology from Sorbonne, Paris IV University, France. Before immigrating to the US, Maria Hunciag worked as Arts Curator at the Romanian National Fine Art Museum in Bucharest, Romania.

Ms. Hunciag holds the position of Art Specialist at the Troy Public Library, Michigan, where she develops, manages and coordinates multicultural and arts programs and special events such as: Sunday Afternoon with the Fine Arts at the Library series of Lectures, Minoru Yamasaki Public Symposium, Shared Inheritances - Multicultural Series of Events, Lecture Series on Eastern European Studies topics. Ms. Hunciag worked also for the Troy Historical Museum where she pioneered, and established a scanned Troy Township Digital Archive as well as the WW II archive.
